Orange, CA – Longtime southwestern staple Southwest Trees & Turf was acquired by association management company Epicenter Management effective January 1, 2014. The agreement was made between Rose Epperson and Helen M. Stone, who will stay on with the paper in the role of consulting editor.
In addition to relaunching the original newspaper format, Epicenter hopes to define the scope and reach of Southwest Trees & Turf by developing an online component to the subscription, as well as redesigning and modernizing the SWT&T website. Although there are no plans to eliminate the hard copy of the newspaper, Epicenter hopes to expand SWT&T’s reach by creating a digital format.
In addition to Southwest Trees & Turf, Epicenter Management will be working with Ms. Stone on the development and management of the Desert Green Conference for Turf and Landscape Professionals. Currently run by Stone Peak Services, Epicenter will assist in both the planning and implementation processes beginning in 2014.

Her company, Stone Peak Services, founded and coordinates the annual Desert Green conference, going on 18 years.
