University of Nevada Cooperative Extension’s Nevada Naturalist program presents Desert National Wildlife Refuge Complex: Hidden Jewels of the Desert as part of the 2015 Lecture Series on April 23. The free, hour-long presentation begins at 7 p.m.
Join Laurie Simons, Ph.D., Desert Complex Biologist with U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, as she introduces the National Wildlife Refuges found in southern Nevada. The four Refuges make up the Desert National Wildlife Refuge Complex. Simons will explain what makes each refuge unique.

Nevada Naturalist, a Cooperative Extension program, focuses on giving a broad understanding of nature to participants interested in learning, volunteering, teaching and participating in conservation projects and issues. The program will also give participants the skills and confidence necessary to make a difference for environmental stewardship and conservation in southern Nevada.
